Epiphany-observed
Title: "Home By Another Way"
Scripture: Mt 2:1-12
Key Verse: "And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they left for their own country by another road" (v. 3b).
Theme: The wise men aren't called wise because of their knowledge. They're called wise because they know when to leave well enough alone, when to avoid trouble, how to learn from their experiences. This is the essence of wisdom. In fact, one might guess that the men from the east who visit Jesus are called wise because of how they responded to their dream. They took a different route home. They allowed their experience of Jesus to make a difference in their lives. That's wise.
